Verify customer prerequisites

Before, during and after the Data Center migration procedure, there are activities that professional services staff cannot perform for various reasons, such as security concern and CFE restrictions. These activities are customer responsibility.

Procedure 

  1. Verify that the customer has prepared the environment for the upgrade according to the Customer Prerequisites chapter in the WFO V15.1 to V15.2 (Side-by-Side with optional HW Reuse) Migration Deployment Reference Guide.

  2. Verify that the customer fulfilled in the Site Preparation Checklist (SPC) with all the details.

  3. Verify that the customer has generated a Discovery Report of the source system (if not generated, generate the report). Make sure the following requirements are met:

    • SQL collation in target system is same as source system (see the collation in the Discovery Report).

    • The target database partition sizes are at least as specified in the Discovery Report.

    • Additional storage is allocated on the Contact database platform for migration of CommonDB as specified in the Discovery Report.

    • The status indication in the Validations section is green . If not, follow the instructions in the Configuration Snapshot Tool User Guide for corrective actions.

    • Update release 2020R1 (or later) provides a new Extended Custom Data feature with up to 300 Custom Data fields. To support Extended Custom Data, there are some requirements that must be met. See Prerequisites to support the Extended Custom Data feature in related topics.

    Make sure to complete the corrective actions on the source system before the migration.

  4. Verify that the desktop applications are upgraded according to the compatibility options between the source and destination systems.

  5. Verify that SQL AlwaysOn is not deployed on the target data center.

  6. Verify that the 15.2 WFO portal is accessible from all source and target servers.

  7. Verify that the Latest Windows updates are installed.

  8. Verify that the customer has obtained the new language models with the relevant language vocabulary for Speech Transcription upgrade and RTSA upgrade.
