Install the TSAPI Client

If using the CT TSAPI adapter, the customer must provide the TSAPI client installation software corresponding to the AE Services (AES) version used on the Integration Service machine.

If you are not using the CT TSAPI adapter, you do not need to perform this procedure.

When connecting to a single AES server, use the TSAPI client from the target AES server. When connecting to multiple AES servers with different versions, refer to the Avaya documentation on client compatibility. You may install only one TSAPI client on the server. This same client is used for each configured TSAPI adapter. Avaya usually makes the client software backward compatible with older AES servers, so a newer TSAPI client would be compatible with older AES servers.

Install the 32-bit TSAPI client.

Procedure

  1. On the Recorder, stop the WATCHDOG service.

  2. Stop all services that begin with ‘Recorder’ except the Recorder Tomcat. Do not stop the Recorder Tomcat service.

  3. Install the TSAPI client.

    1. On the Welcome screen, click Next.

    2. In the Telephony Services Setup Options dialog box, make any site-specific changes and then click Next.

    3. In the TCP/IP Name Server Configuration dialog box, type the hostname of the Avaya CT server (last part of Avaya CT Service ID) and click Next.

    4. The installation process copies files onto the machine.

If prompted to overwrite the LIBEAY32.DLL and SSLEAY.DLL files, including the SYSTEM32 folder, do not overwrite the files.

    5. When you see a message indicating that setup is complete, click OK to exit the installation.

  4. To establish a secure TSAPI discovery port connection, you should use port 453, which is designated for encrypted communication.

The TSAPI client installation is now complete.
