Fault Tolerance in a DMS N+M environment

In general, fault tolerance in a Cisco DMS N+M redundancy environment is achieved by using one or more extra Recorders and not more than one pair of Integration Services. Having one extra Recorder provides N+1 fault tolerance; adding extra Recorders over and above that allows for more than one Recorder to fail (N+M). A typical deployment might look like the following:
