Requirements for Cisco Webex Meetings

Refer to the following requirements when planning and preparing for the recording solution for the Cisco Webex Meetings application.

If the meeting host does not have an employee account configured in the Verint portal, the meeting is not captured.

Verint Recorder site preparation

Cisco Webex Meetings video files are downloaded from the Cisco Webex Meeting Center and converted to Mono audio (8 kHz) WAV and MP4 voiceless video files. The Verint Recorder system must be sized appropriately.

The prerequisites for this integration are the same as for a standard Verint Workforce Optimization (WFO) Recorder solution. In addition, you need the following information:

  • The OAuth client ID and client secret from the customer's instance of Cisco Webex Meetings.

  • Collect the following information for the meeting hosts that you want to capture

    • Their first and last name

    • The email address that they use to sign in to Cisco Webex Meetings application

The Cisco Webex Meetings application

The Verint Recorder can only retrieve the meetings and webinars that Cisco Webex Meetings records. For this reason, configure Cisco Webex Meetings Site Options as follows:

  • Enable Automatically record all sessions using Network Based Recording so that recording starts when any participant joins the meeting or webinar, and ends when all participants leave.

  • Disable Allow hosts to use recording controls during automatic recording.

  • Disable Allow hosts to reassign, edit, disable, and delete recordings.

The customer must have an account with full admin rights for Cisco Webex Meetings and a registered app that has the appropriate scopes needed to create the Client ID and Client Secret for the access token.
