Drill through reports

A drill through report is a report that you open by clicking a link (such as a bar graph or a line point) in a source report. Typically, drill through reports contain details about an item that is contained in an original summary report.

This feature is only available when you view Feedback Results in HTML format which displays the report results in the Report Viewer window.

How it works

To see more information for data displayed in the Report Viewer, click a drill through link to open a new report that provides additional information. The link could be text, a bar on a bar chart, a data point on a scatter graph, or a dot on a matrix chart.

When your cursor changes into the Link Select icon configured for your workstation, you can drill through to a new report.

The default Windows Link Select icon is: a right hand pointing.

When you drill through to a new report, the current report is discarded.

In the Report Output section for each report, the drill through reports are identified.

Parameter retention

The parameters carry forward to the Drill through reports except when the drill through report is a trend report.
