Standard view properties

The standard view properties are displayed by default. Mandatory properties provide free-text field to type a value. Optional properties offer default values. Settings during the installation time can be modified later during configuration time.

The default database Settings apply to each database whose corresponding property in Advanced view is empty. For each database where corresponding property in Advanced view is filled, the advanced property is used instead of the Default Database Setting.

The Default Database Settings are mandatory and must represent at least one of the databases.

If you install a Consolidated Server with co-located Survey Server for lab purposes (not supported for production systems), make sure to set the Survey Server Database with the actual SQL Server settings in Advanced view properties.

When remote SQL is used, it is recommended to deploy all databases on a single database instance on a single database server. The remote database server must meet the total resource requirements according to the CFE Guide.

If more than a single remote database server is required, distribute the databases according to deployment level diagram.

For properties that require directory names, see Naming Conventions Requirements in the Technology, Security, & Network Integration Deployment Reference Guide.
