Selective capturing options

Selective recording options allow your organization to record interactions under certain conditions. For Microsoft Teams integrations, you can configure Verint to record external participants only.

External participant defined

A participant is considered external when their Microsoft tenant ID is different than the tenant ID of the meeting organizer. The Tenant ID is considered different when:

  • the participant is part of another Microsoft tenant

  • the participant is represented by a PSTN number

Collaborators and Guest users of the organizer's Microsoft tenant are also considered external users.

Record when external participant joins

When Record External Calls Only is enabled, Verint only starts to capture the Microsoft Teams interaction when an external participant joins. An interaction can include audio, video, and screen activity. Capture stops when the last external participant leaves the meeting. Meetings between internal participants are not recorded by Verint.

To enable this option, in the Verint MS Teams data source, under the Advanced Settings, enter the key MSTeams.RecordExternalCallsOnly and set the value to True.

Record camera of external participants only

When Record Camera Of External Users Only is enabled, Verint only captures the camera video of external participants. Video of internal participants is not captured.

To enable this option, in the Verint MS Teams data source, under the Advanced Settings, enter the key MSTeams.RecordCameraOfExternalUsersOnly and set the value to True.

Only capture calls, exclude meetings

The EDM capture solution for Microsoft Teams can be configured to exclude the capture of ad-hoc and scheduled meetings. Your service provider can add the new MSTeams.RecordMeetings advanced key to your Microsoft Teams capture rule. When this option is disabled and a monitored employee joins a Teams meeting, the meeting is not captured, and the participants do not get the recording notifications in the MS Teams client. Only content from peer-to-peer calls and conference calls that started as a peer-to-peer calls are captured when meeting recording is disabled.
