Verint SIP Recording System
The
-
Recorder
Terminates Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) endpoints to receive audio or other media from third-party systems.
-
Application Tier
Provides, at a minimum, applications to search and replay the interactions recorded.
-
SIP Server
Responsible for controlling the actions of multiple Recorders. The SIP Server:
-
Directs the Recorders to receive media on open ports
-
Tells the Recorders when to start and stop recordings on those ports
-
Tags the recording information to the Recorders
The SIP Server is also responsible for the SIP stack. The stack:
-
Receives SIP INVITEs and other SIP messages
-
Makes internal decisions on whether a particular interaction must be recorded
-
Finds a Recorder that has the resources to perform the recording
-
Controls the recording on both the SIP and Recorder sides
-
The Recorder and SIP Server may be on the same physical server, or separate servers.
