SMTP and SNMP Servers

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide and maintain the SMTP and SNMP services.

SMTP Server

SMTP server is required for Topology report automation and mail notifications (for example, to notify an administrator of a triggered alarm) sent by the system. E-mail notifications are sent through the SMTP server to the Return e-mail address specified by the customer.

Supply the SMTP server details in the Site Preparation Checklist (SPC).

SNMP Server

SNMP server is required for SNMP messages to be sent by the system. It is required for system status and alarms.

Supply the SNMP server details in the Site Preparation Checklist (SPC).
