TAS service accounts (TAS 8 only)
To install TAS 8, set up the following accounts:
Installation and application management service account
The Installation service account is used to run software installations, software updates, and hotfixes.
Account requirements

Must be assigned to the TAS user group, and the Docker user group.

Run application services, namely Docker containers.

Access all folders and files created by applications, using file-security access.

Application Management service account
The Application Management service account is used to:

Run application services (For TAS8: The Docker containers).

Access all folders and files created by applications, using file-security access.
During installation, the account is provided with read/write permission to directories serving as the data volumes and mounts of the containers.
User ID

The default account ID (UID) is 5001. Unless otherwise specified in the inventory file, the tas_app user is assigned this ID.
Account requirements

Must be assigned to the TAS user group
Advanced Application Management service account
The Advanced Application Management service account is used to access and monitor Docker containers.
User ID

The default account ID (UID) is 5004. Unless otherwise specified in the inventory file, the tas_app_advanced user is assigned this ID.
Account requirements

Must be assigned to the TAS user group and Docker user group
Maintenance service account
The Maintenance service account is used for maintenance tasks, such as:

Running backups

Starting and stopping Docker containers

Troubleshooting

Login privileges

Read/write permission to directories serving as data volumes and mounts of the containers.
