Define project properties (Standalone mode)
For a new Phonetics Boosting project, define the project properties such as the project name, its language model or language and vocabulary, and the location where the project is saved. The language model for the project has a phoneme generator that automatically generates pronunciations for terms and phrases in the project. The phoneme generator is loaded when the language model is selected.
Before you begin
-
If you have multiple language model files, make sure you get the current language model file.
-
Copy the ZIP file of the current language model into %AllUsersProfile%/PhoenticsBoostingApplication/Datasets.
Procedure
-
Open the Phonetics Boosting Application from your desktop.
-
Do one of the following:
-
To create a new project, click New, and continue from step 3.
-
To edit an existing project, click Open, select the project you want to edit, and then continue to add terms and phrases.
-
-
In the Create a New Phonetics Boosting Project window that appears, define the Base Model Properties:
-
From the Base Model drop-down list, select the language model file (standard version) or the language and vocabulary (connected version) for the new project.
-
In the Customer Name field, enter your company’s name using only alphanumeric characters, without spaces and special characters.
For EN-US models, the system starts to load the automatic phoneme generator and displays that it is ready for use on completion.
-
-
Below Project Properties, in the Location field, browse to the location where you want to save the project file.
By default, the file is saved in ProgramData\PhoneticsBoostingApplication\Outputs.
-
Click OK, and then click Save.
