Import staffing profiles into a scheduling period

After you have exported your data and made the required updates in an external location, you can import the updated data back into the system.

The ability to import staffing profiles is currently being rolled out to cloud customers. It may not be available in your site just yet.

Before you begin

Export staffing profiles from a scheduling period

Procedure

Go to Forecasting and Scheduling. Under Scenarios, and Staffing Profiles, select Staffing Profiles.
From the left pane, expand the campaign and select the scheduling period to which you want to import staffing profiles.
Select Import.
Complete the fields on the File Setup screen:
1. File to Import: Path and name of the external file to be imported.
2. Delimiter: Specifies one of the following as the field delimiter (separator) used in the file: Tab or Semicolon.
3. Import Behavior: Specifies whether you want to add new data, overwrite existing data, or both during the import:
  1. Add/Update: Adds any new data to the system and updates or overwrites any existing data.
  2. Update Only: Overwrites any existing data only to the system, but does not add new data.
  3. Add Only: Adds new data only to the system, but does not overwrite any existing data.
From Check the fields to import and enter the column number from your file (* = default provided), specify the number of the column from the file for every field. For example, if you want Work Pattern to be the third column, enter 3 for the Work Pattern field.

All fields are mandatory for the import. The fields are automatically selected and cannot be unselected.
Select one of the following:
- Select All: Imports all data in the file, regardless of what is specified on the File Setup screen.
- Import: Imports the data as specified on the File Setup screen.
The system imports the data accordingly. It is populated as specified on the Staffing Profile screen.
