Add legal hold to a case

You can put an existing case under legal hold status. Use legal hold cases for compliance or legal purposes. When a case is placed on Legal Hold, interactions in the case cannot be deleted from the system.

Before you begin 

Access a case that is not yet under legal hold and is not a recycle bin.

Procedure 

1. On the right side of the page, open the workspace shortcut menu.

   

2. Click Add Legal Hold.

   • If the case is already in a legal hold status, the option is not available.

   • If you do not have the role privilege to Enable Legal Hold, the option is not available.

3. To complete the addition of legal hold to the case, from the dialog box displayed, click Add Legal Hold.
