Backup the SSRS Encryption Keys
Procedure 8 of 14 to configure a secondary data center to support a data center switch over.
In this procedure, you create a backup copy of the SSRS encryption keys in the primary data center. The backup copy of the SSRS encryption keys is needed to complete a data center switch over.
Backup the SSRS encryption keys in the primary data center.
Perform this procedure on the primary data center server where SSRS is installed.
Later, when you perform a data center switch over, you must restore these encryption keys to the SSRS server in the secondary data center. Store the backed-up keys in a location that is accessible from the secondary data center.

Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

Connect to the SSRS instance.

Select Encryption Keys.

Click Back Up and specify the location to store the rsdbkey.snk key. Store the key in a location in the secondary data center. This key is necessary to complete a switch over from the primary data center to the secondary data center. The key must be accessible from the secondary data center. Do not store this key in the primary data center.

Enter a strong Password to lock the key and click OK.
