Stop the SQL Server Reporting Services Service

Procedure 3 of 17 of performing a data center switch over.

Complete this procedure on the server in the secondary data center that hosts the Reporting Services server role.

Procedure 

  1. From the Windows desktop of the server in the secondary data center that hosts the Reporting Services server role, select Start > Administrative Tools > Services.

  2. Right-click on the SQL Server Reporting Services service and select Stop.

  3. Right-click on the SQL Server Reporting Services service again and select Properties.

  4. In the Startup type: drop-down list, select Disabled.

  5. Click Apply and then click OK.
