Redundancy with Cisco CUBE Media Proxy

The Cisco CUBE environments support both N+M and N+N recording redundancy. N+M recording is available for all CUBE recording integrations. N+N recording is available for CUBE media proxying of DMS recording. See the Recorder Configuration and Administration Guide for more information about the recording modes.

We recommend that you use a redundant 1+1 pair of Recorder Integration Services in either recording mode. For N+N, you must pair two IP Recorders as well. When configured for N+N recording, resource allocations are synchronized across the Recorder Integration Service pair. The Main Recorder Integration Service drives the specific IP Recorder pair selection within the pool and the Backup defers to the Main.

The call flow between components depends on whether the call is internal or external. The following diagram illustrates an internal call flow.
