Limitations for Cisco Webex Meetings
A known limitation is a feature or function that seems desirable, but is unavailable for use because of a limited ability in our system, the external system, or both. Whenever possible, we provide a workaround.
To identify participants, map custom attribute
We record the host's session, not the sessions for each participant. If you need to identify the participants of a meeting, map the Participants Custom attributes for Cisco Webex Meetings to a field on the Cisco Webex Meetings Polling Adapter.
Meeting from phone not recorded
If the host starts the meeting by phone, Cisco Webex Meetings does not record the meeting.
Recording from Webex Meetings desktop app only
Recording is only available from the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app. If you start a meeting from a device, such as a Chromebook, that is using the Cisco Webex Meetings web app, Webex cannot record the meeting.
Recording fails when Webex is out of space
Cisco Webex Meetings limits the amount of space available to store recordings. If your Cisco Webex Meetings site runs out of space, your meeting cannot be recorded.
Workaround: Download or delete recordings from your Cisco Webex Meetings site.
Recording does not show pause gaps
If a meeting recording is paused and then later resumed, Cisco Webex Meetings recording does not show any pause gaps.
Capture meeting only for the host
Meeting and webinar recordings are always associated to the meeting host (owner). Meeting hosts must have an employee account in the Verint portal; otherwise, the Verint Recorder does not capture the meeting.
Call retention limitation
Missed meeting recordings can be recovered for a maximum of 3600 days or for the default retention period of 360 days.
