Set up the Recorders for text capture from Genesys Cloud

For the Recorder to request data from external sources and to store the content it receives, assign the required service roles.

The Service Provider is responsible for this task.

Before you begin

For a new integration with Genesys Cloud to capture digital channels only, install the Recorders (primary and secondary), as described in the WFO Installation Guide, and then configure the Recorders.

If you already have Recorders to capture real-time audio interactions from Genesys Cloud, you can use those Recorders.

Procedure

  1. In Enterprise Manager, go to System Management, under Enterprise, select Settings.

  2. Select a Recorder node.

  3. Under Enterprise, select Server Roles.

  4. For text capture, makes sure that the following services are enabled on the Recorder node:

    • Content Server

    • Recorder Ingestion Web Service

    • Interaction Capture Service

  5. Associate the Interaction Capture node to the Recorder Ingestion Web Service.

  6. Repeat this procedure for the secondary Recorder node.

  7. Associate the capture service on the primary node to the secondary node: In the Installations pane, expand the primary node, select the Interaction Capture Service, click Secondary Role, and then select the Interaction Capture Service on the secondary node.
