Security certificate

To secure the communications between Verint and Microsoft Teams, you need to install Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates. The Verint Microsoft Teams Bot Adapter loads the Microsoft Media Platform. This platform requires cryptographic service provider (CSP) SSL certificates to send media to trusted endpoints.

Verint endpoints

Each VM that hosts the Verint Microsoft Teams Bot Adapter must be added to the certificate.

Certificate requirements

  • A public, SSL certificate signed by a trusted, third-party Certificate Authority (CA) and encrypted using a cryptographic service provider (CSP).

Important: Do not use a Key Storage Provider (KSP) and Cryptography Next Generation (CNG) because the Microsoft Media Platform does not support them.

  • The private key of the certificate must be exportable.

  • Use custom subject alternate names (SANs) and specify the domain names of the Verint VMs.

  • Use wildcards (*) to include all the VMs in the same domain. Example: *.domain.com, and *.subdomain.domain.com.
