Assign a contact flag

Contact flags allow you to arrange contacts into specific folders, which are accessible to the relevant users for follow-up and management purposes.

Only leaders can assign contact flags. Employees (members) cannot assign contact flags.

Before you begin 

Verify that flags you want to assign are assigned to your group and role in the Assignment Manager application. You can assign such flags even if their corresponding folders are not assigned to your group and role in the Assignment Manager.

Procedure 

  1. From the interactions search results, select the interaction related to the contact you want to flag and from the Contact Flags column, click flag.

    Alternatively, double-click the interaction to access it, and click flag.

  2. Select the flags (predefined or customized) that you want to assign to the contact and click OK.

    The following occurs:

    • The contact is pushed to the corresponding flagged contacts folder.

    • If defined in the Tracking module, an alert is triggered.

    • Although the flag relates to the entire contact, the actual flag is assigned to an interaction (which then applies to its entire contact).
