Create New Tenant screen reference

When creating a new tenant, complete the fields on the Tenant Details screen. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*) on the screen.

Tenant Details

 

Name

Enter the tenant name that is displayed in the system.

Description

Enter detailed information about the tenant. This field can be used for notes or comments about the tenant, to preserve with the tenant record.

External Tenant ID

Enter a third-party identifier for the tenant, such as a CRM ID, used to help the service provider link the tenant to their CRM record.

Root Organization

Select the root organization of the tenant.

After you select the tenant root organization and save your changes, you cannot change the root organization. The tenant entity-tenant root organization association impacts various system entities and there are global implications. Therefore, it is critical to maintain this original association once it is created.

Root Groups

(Optional)

Select the root group you created for the tenant.

A root group includes multiple people within the organization of the tenant that can be managed as a group for application purposes. For example, you can create a group of managers or people who belong to the same sub-organization.

This field is optional. However, after you create the tenant, you cannot edit the root groups.

Tenant Admin User Details

First Name

Enter the first name of the tenant employee who will be the tenant administrator.

Last Name

Enter the last name of the tenant employee who will be the tenant administrator.

Username

Enter the user name of the tenant employee who will be the tenant administrator. The tenant administrator uses the user name to sign in to the system.

Send the tenant admin a notification email

Select this check box if you want to send a notification email to the tenant administrator. The notification email contains a username and a temporary password for the tenant administrator account.

Notification emails are not recommended if the tenant administrator user does not use DB authentication, and relies on external authentication such as SAML.

Notification Email Address

If you selected the Send the tenant admin a notification email check box, enter the tenant administrator email address in this field. If you want multiple users to know the tenant administrator username and password, you can enter multiple email addresses in this field. Separate multiple email addresses with a semi-colon. You can enter a maximum of 250 characters in this field.

Upon entering the username and temporary password received in the email to access the system, the user is directed to a change the password screen. At this screen, the user changes the temporary password received in the email to a new password.
