Validate a path

You can validate a path against a user from within a specific date range.

To find users who have performed items in your path within this set date period, you select a date range.

The users shown are the ones that the system has determined are a good match to validate against your path. Matching users depend on:

• The start and end triggers that you have placed in your path

• Whether any users have fired triggers that are in your path

• The organization that your path belongs to

• The dates you select for the validation period

A path can only be validated if it is saved or has no unsaved changes.

Procedure 

1. On the Validate Path dialog, set the date range.

   

   The initial date range shown reflects the view selected in Path Studio (Yesterday, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days).

2. If you set a different date range, select Find Matches.

3. Select a user from the drop-down list.

   In general, select someone who represents typical activity.

4. Select Show.
