Configure data sources for use with Capture Verification

Capture Verification uses data sources configured in the Workforce Engagement (WFE) application to synchronize Call Detail Record (CDR) and recording segment information, and carry out the matching process.

A data source describes the switch that the recorder product records calls on. Capture Verification connects to the same switch by selecting the data source, describing it, and configuring connection to their CDR storage location. The configuration and management of data sources is important for the correct operations of Capture Verification.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Set up data sources in WFE by following the Data source configuration section in the System Administration Guide.

  2. In Recording Management, go to the Settings page under Data Sources.

  3. Select an Organization for the data source to be viewed in Capture Verification, and click Save.

If the Organization is not configured for a data source, or the Organization is hierarchically not accessible as part of the Organization selected for Capture Verification, the data source is not visible in Automated Verification.

  4. Ensure that the timezone set in the data source configuration matches the timezone of your physical asset that the data source describes.

If the timezone configured for the data source does not match the timezone of the physical asset, Capture Verification CDR matching fails.
