Configure Zoom app scopes for Zoom Phone

Capture Verification requires specific granular scopes configured on a Server-to-Server OAuth type Zoom Marketplace app to collect Call Detail Records (CDRs) for Zoom Phone.

Before you begin

  • You require a Zoom account that you can use to create apps in the Zoom Marketplace.

  • Optionally, to use the Verification Confirmation feature of Capture Verification, you must enable the Automated Verification - Call Verification Complete Notification feature license.

Scopes (also known as classic scopes) are being deprecated, and they are being replaced with Granular Scopes. Do not set Scopes for new apps, and update your existing apps to include the corresponding Granular Scopes to avoid the app or integration breaking.

Procedure

  1. In a browser, go to the Zoom Marketplace and create a new Server-to-Server OAuth app.

  2. Under Information, fill in the fields required for the activation of the app.

  3. Under Scopes, select Add Scopes, and add the following granular scopes:

    • Under Phone:

      • View call logs (phone:read:list_call_logs:admin)

      • View a call log (phone:read:call_log:admin)

  4. Optionally, to use the Verification Confirmation feature, add the following extra granular scopes to the app:

    • Under Phone:

      • Update a call recording (phone:update:call_recording:admin)

The Verification Confirmation feature is only available for Zoom Phone integrations with Verint Financial Compliance (VFC) Capture.

  5. Click Done, and activate your app.
