Server status in the System Monitor

The System Monitor shows the current state of the server in a Metrics list or a Status Messages list.

The list that is displayed depends on the server roles that are active on the server:

  • If a server is selected in the Installations tree, the Metrics or Status Messages list for all server roles on the server is displayed.

  • If a specific server role is selected, only the Metrics or Status Messages list associated with that server role is displayed.

For the Import Export Manager role, the list also shows the last five extraction jobs completed by the system, and the start times, status, and number of calls processed by each job.

Status updates

The system may display status that is one or two minutes old, depending on the system performance. To see the most current status, click Update.

Refresh Rate

Refresh Rate

Shows the current setting for refresh rate in minutes. Choose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes as the automatic refresh rate. At these times, the application communicates with the server and provides alarm updates. The default is 1 minute. You can also click the Refresh icon (inverted arrows beside the selection box) to update alarms immediately, without waiting for the automatic refresh cycle.

Status

  • Red status (or frowning face) indicates the condition reported by the metric requires attention.

  • Orange status indicates a condition in a warning state.

  • Green status (or smiling face) indicates the status is acceptable.
