Add Root CA certificates to workstation Windows Trusted root certificate authorities store

Use this procedure for web and desktop applications to trust the CA certificate(s).

Procedure 

  1. In the Start menu, type mmc and click Enter.

  2. In the Microsoft Management Control window, click File > Add/Remove Snap-in.

  3. Click Certificates, click Add, select Computer Account, and click Next.

  4. Select Local Computer, click Finish and then click OK.

  5. In the console tree, double-click Certificates.

  6. Right-click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.

  7. Click All Tasks >Import to add the certificates and follow the steps in the Certificate Import Wizard. Load the prepared certificate.

  8. Repeat step 7 until all root CA certificates used in the system are imported.

Add workstation root CA certificates to Java Trusted Certificates

Use this procedure for web based desktop applications using JRE to trust the CA certificate(s).

Procedure 

  1. On all desktop workstations running JRE, open the Java Control Panel.

  2. Select the Security tab and click Manage Certificates.

  3. In the Certificate type list, select Trusted Certificates.

  4. From the User tab, click Import and browse to the CA certificate location.

  5. Select the root CA certificate and click Open.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all root CA certificates used in the system are imported.

  7. Click Close and then OK.
