Redundancy in Cisco Webex Meetings

1+1 redundancy for post-call audio capture

Interaction Capture Service supports 1+1 redundancy.

A primary and secondary (main and standby) Recorder nodes are deployed and configured the same. Two identical adapters are associated to the same data source.

A Load Distributor within Interaction Capture Service distributes the processing of interaction meta data and downloading captured interactions between the Recorder nodes. The Distributor makes the healthiest node the primary. The primary node polls the Cisco Webex Meetings and retrieves the completed interactions. Both nodes ingest the Interaction.

To keep the two nodes synchronized, the node that ingested the interaction, sends a watermark notification to the other node. The watermark indicates the time that the interaction was ingested.
