Move activities to template organization

Move the default activities from the root organization to the tenant template organization.

Do not perform this procedure for the following special activities—these activities should remain with the root organization as the owner organization:

  • Coaching

  • Generic Non-Work Activity

  • Generic Work Activity

  • Learning

  • Learning Break

  • Learning End

  • No Activity

  • Records Merge Activity

  • Shift/Overtime Gap

  • Unknown Activity

  • Voluntary Time Off

  • Vacation

Moving these special activities from the root organization can cause system failures. Make sure that these activities remain within the root organization.

Procedure

  1. Go to Work Administration. Under Activities, select Activities.

  2. Select the root organization, and perform the following procedure for all activities that have the root organization as the owner organization (except for the special activities that should remain at the root organization level):

    1. Select the activity that has the root organization as the owner organization.

    2. Select Copy Activity.

    3. Select the Tenant template organization, and click Copy to Selected Organization.

    4. Repeat this process for all activities that have the root organization as the owner organization.

    5. After all needed activities are copied to the Tenant template organization, delete the ones that have the root organization as the owner organization (except for the special activities that should remain at the root organization level).

  3. From the Tenant template organization, rename the copied activities to the original name.

For example, rename Copy of Blended to Blended.
