Phonetics Boosting overview

Through Phonetics Boosting, you can enhance the vocabulary of the default language model by adding terms and phrases unique to your line of business. Terms and phrases can include terms relating to your products, tools, line of business concepts and processes. Adding these terms boosts their recognition, making them more effective in searches, categories, and trends.

Phonetics Boosting is compatible with standard Speech Analytics and Real-Time Speech Analytics (RTSA).

For Phonetics Boosting to be supported with stereo transcription, at least 100 calls must be transcribed in stereo mode.

Phonetics Boosting modes

The Phonetics Boosting tool is installed in either connected or standalone mode. The mode determines how the language model associated with the Phonetics Boosting project is built and distributed.

In connected mode, which is also the default, the language model is built and distributed from within the Phonetics Boosting application.
In standalone mode, the language model is built offline by the Support team, and then distributed using the Language Model Distributor.
