Monitor EMC Centera migration progress

You can track the progress of the transfer through the Status page, found under the Operations area of Recorder Manager. The counters present on that page are updated. The values in the Current Archive Point and the Last Call fields move as the transfer progresses.

Create transfer drives for EMC Centera migration

Procedure 

  1. In Recorder Manager, find Operations and select Status.

    • Archiver automatically begins to transfer from source to destination media as soon as it detects available media present in the source drive.

    • The runtime counters present on that page are updated normally. The values in the Current Archive Point and the Last Call fields move as the transfer progresses.

    • When the transfer from the source media is complete, Archiver raises an ArchiveTransferComplete alarm. The ArchiveTransferComplete alarm is cleared when a new transfer begins.

The transfer operation automatically pulls all files from the source media. Note that this may be a very large number of files, depending on the size of the source EMC Centera drive.

All other normal archive error handling and alarming mechanisms also apply to output activity on the destination media.
