Workflow: Install CLI Toolkit (ksctl)
Install the ksctl CLI tool to manage and control a remote CipherTrust Manager KMS . Ksctl is required for importing keys and must be executed from a local machine—not directly on the CipherTrust Manager itself.
Workflow
-
Download and unzip the ksctl_images.zip file
The CLI toolkit is required to import (migrate) keys to CipherTrust. Download the CLI toolkit from the Thales CipherTrust Manager web application and unzip the ksctl_images.zip file.
-
Set up ksctl on your workstation
On your workstation, set up the appropriate version of the ksctl utility (ksctl-<os>), where <os> refers to your operating system (Windows or Linux). The setup process includes configuring basic authentication variables required for ksctl to function properly. Specifically, you provide the URL and login credentials of the target CipherTrust Manager system that you want to manage.
