Back up CipherTrust manually

Optional: Backups are done automatically by schedule but if you want to back up manually then the following are the steps to perform.

It is not a mandatory procedure. If the system is configured with an automatic backup schedule, backups happen regularly by the automatic backup schedule.

Before you begin

Add the CipherTrust KMS Backup Key

Procedure

Log on to the CipherTrust Manager web application.
Under root domain, go to Admin Settings and select Backup.
Click Add Backup.
Select System Backup and click Next.
Under Backup Properties, select the backup key that you created and click Add Backup.

System creates a backup and a new entry is listed in the Backups page.

Download this backup file and keep it secure. Or use the Secure Copy option and use the configured SCP connection to move this backup to external storage.
