Authorize Verint in Cisco Webex Meetings

Configure the Cisco Webex Meetings Center to authorize communications from the Verint Recorder.

The parameters, roles, and permissions listed are the minimum required.

When you have 1+1 redundancy, both Recorders connect to the same cloud OAuth client.

Before you begin

  • Make sure the Cisco Webex Meetings Center is set up and running as expected.

  • The admin that authorizes the integration for an organization (meeting:admin_* scopes) must:

    • Have full org admin

    • Be a site admin for the site or sites that contain the users to be recorded

Workflow

  1. Register Verint as a Webex App for Cisco Webex Meetings

Before configuring the Recorder, you need to register Verint as a Webex App on the Cisco Webex Developer Portal. After registration, you receive a Client ID, Client secret, and an authorization URL. Then, use the URL to get a short-lived authorization code. You need the authorization code, client ID, and client secret to create security tokens later.

  2. Get Webex authorization code for Cisco Webex Meetings

The Webex authorization code is required to get the security tokens that the Verint Recorder uses to access the Cisco Webex API.

  3. Create Webex security tokens for Cisco Webex Meetings.

The registered integration is used to request permissions to invoke the Cisco Webex API. To do this securely, Webex uses the OAuth 2.0 standard security tokens. You create the tokens on the Webex portal.
