Before you begin
-
Create tenant role templates, page 1
Procedure
-
Copy the tenant role templates, including the Tenant Administrator role template, from the Tenant template organization to the tenant's root organization. Only copy role templates that are relevant and specific to the business needs of the new tenant.
-
Rename the role templates:
For example, change Agent Template to Agent.
-
Modify the privileges to fit what the tenant has purchased. For example, if the tenant is not using Speech Analytics, delete any Speech Analytics privileges from the roles.
-
If the tenant needs to have access to the Product Usage by Employee Report, add the following privilege to the relevant roles:
Framework, Reports, View Report, Run Report
-
Create any custom roles needed for the tenant, adhering to multi-tenant enabled privileges indicated by the Roles and Privileges Reference Tool.
-
Set one of the roles as the default role:
-
Go to User Management. Under Security, select Roles Setup.
-
Select the relevant role and click Set As Default Role.
-
-
Create a new user for the Tenant Administrator in the tenant's root organization.
-
Assign the Tenant Administrator role (that was copied over from the Tenant template organization in Step 1) to the Tenant Administrator user, and give the Tenant Administrator user scope over the tenant organization and the tenant root groups.
-
Assign any additional roles that are relevant to the Tenant Administrator user. For example, if the Tenant Administrator needs to create campaigns and skills, give them the Scheduler role.
